The Week Ahead

The releases are really picking up now as we go into the packed month of November, with one of next week's releases being WWE 2K16, which comes out on Tuesday in America, Thursday in Australia and Friday in Europe for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I found last year's release very disappointing, especially with the Creative Suite being so crapped, but Yuke's look to have fixed it, judging by the monstrosities people have created so far. The other features look excellent too: each player has a set amount of reversals per match, there are no loading times between entrances, AI has been improved and rest holds have been added. Ladder Tag Team, Handicap Tag Team and Tornado Tag are all back, and the roster is the largest ever, with 120 wrestlers (Yet not every Diva, which is strange) including the T-800. 'Nuff said.

Also coming out is Halo 5: Guardians, which releases worldwide on Tuesday for Xbox One. The story is all about Spartan Locke and Fireteam Osiris trying to find Master Chief before a new evil overruns the galaxy, and will also mark Halo's first major foray into eSports, with a Microsoft-run "Halo Championship Series" announced, with a $1 million prize pool. In all honesty, gameplay seems a little boring, but I've never been a Halo fan anyway.

Lastly is Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition, which comes out on Tuesday for PS4 and Xbox One. Like most remakes, the Deathinitive Edition offers all of Darksiders 2's DLC inside the package, along with a new lick of graphical paint, with better lighting, shadows and a shiny 1080p resolution. Character and environmental graphics have been improved and reworked, and the game and loot system has been balanced and tweaked to be that little bit better.
