The Week Ahead!

There's only one big game releasing next week, and that's Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, a pretty-looking indie that's releasing for PS4 on Tuesday for the US and Wednesday for Europe. Developed by Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs creator The Chinese Room, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a first person adventure akin to the former. It's based in a rural village in Shropshire, England in which the apocalypse has happened, and it takes the point of view of six people who all have their stories tied together. EGTTR has also been touted to be a little more interactive and player-driven than Dear Esther and is inspired by books such as The Death of Grass and The Day of the Triffids.

There are a lot of birthdays this week too: on Monday it'll be Monopoly creator Charles Darrow's birthday, then on Tuesday both the late Jukka Tapanimaki, developer of Netherworld for the Commodore 64, and Charles Cecil MBE, founder of Revolution Software and creator of Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky, have their birthdays. On Thursday, puzzle game legend Cliff Johnson and Guilty Gear creator Daisuke Ishiwatari have their birthdays.

So are any of you excited for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture? Tell us in the comments!
