Duke Newkem

There are many franchises that should be given a peaceful quiet death (Or at least be left alone for a while, SEGA) and the tortured soul that is Duke Nukem is one of them. You probably remember the poop-throwing, almost-vapourware Duke Nukem Forever, a game that many of us want to be forget. BUT NOT GEARBOX. In a panel at the Develop Conference (Reported on by Eurogamer) class-A douchebag and Gearbox head Randy Pitchford claimed that the studio had worked on some concepts for a sequel, but had to shut the project down. The only way to make this sequel a reality? Bring in another studio (Which will eventually be shuttered due to the inevitable failure of a Duke Nukem Forever sequel) Let's hope no one comes forward.

Keeping on the topic of changing developers, Yager (Creator of Spec Ops: The Line) have ceased development on the delayed Dead Island 2, which has raised some concerns. I'm not saying it's vapourware (Far from it, actually) but it seems like Dead Island 2 will either be getting more footage this year and releasing in the next, or not getting any footage and staying quiet for a while. It seems to be leaning towards the latter, as no new developer has been announced as of yet, but keep your eyes peeled.

Trailer of the Day today goes to a very cool Just Cause 3: Choose Your Own Chaos trailer, which is basically what it sounds like, but a million times better. Words can't describe how excited I am for this game, and although I never pre order games, I've already pre ordered JC3.
