Top At The Shops!

It's been a record-breaking week in last week's physical UK sales charts, with Batman Arkham Knight leading the charge in Number 1. It's sold the most copies in one week of any Arkham game, as well as the selling the most copies in a week of any game this year to date, plus this marks 4 #1 spots for Warner Bros, the first time any publisher has had at least 4 #1's in a year since EA's quintet in 2012. With Mad Max, Lego Dimensions and Lego Marvel Avengers all scheduled to release this year, Warner Bros could possibly do one better this year.

In 2nd we have another Warner Bros property, Lego Jurassic World, which was surely helped by the film's record-breaking success, while The Elder Scrolls Online drops 1 place into 3rd. Nintendo's next first-party game, Yoshi's Woolly World, makes its debut in 4th place, proving that yarn is pretty popular with Nintendo fans (And I'm not talking about story). In 5th is the Witcher 3, still going strong with 2 weeks of free DLCs left, while GTA V and COD: Advanced Warfare place 6th and 7th respectively. FIFA 15 falls 3 places into 8th, with Destiny holding in 9th and Final Fantasy XIV's new Heavensward expansion rounds out the Top 10.

A lot of Playstation news was announced today, the first being a small but nice little detail: Playstation Plus games will now be available on the first Tuesday of the month in Europe, which is nice, but the bigger story is that Playstation Plus is now 5 years old, and any players who've been subscribed since the beginning (And received over 350 games) will be sent a limited edition gift. I can hear the PS4 subscribers harking back to a time when they didn't constantly recieve indie games.
