The Week Ahead!

Image from
Next week could be the week that the Playstation 4 either proves that it has some blockbusting exclusives (Or that it hasn't) as Bloodborne releases on Tuesday in America, Wednesday in Europe, Thursday in Japan and Friday in the UK (A stuttered launch, if there ever was one). Announced at last year's E3, From Software's spiritual Dark Souls successor is set in the gothic city of Yharnam, in which you must find the best medical remedy of All Time. As well as the usual Dark Souls fare, there's also a couple cool new mechanics, including the ability to regenerate health via counter-attacking, weapons that can transform into two different states (Almost as good as "DYNAMIC WEAPON SWITCHING") and, last but in no way least, a shotgun. 'Nuff said.

If co-op's more your thing, then Borderlands: The Handsome Collection should please you. It contains Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel PLUS all of its DLCs (Including the upcoming Claptastic Voyage mini-campaign) and 4-player local co-op. There's also remastered graphics (Don't know how that'll work with cel-shaded style, though) and a 60fps framerate with one or two local players, with the framerate dropping to 30fps when 4 local players are playing. It releases in North America on Tuesday, and the rest of the world on Friday.

Last of all is Dontnod's adventure game's second episode, Life Is Strange: Out of Time in which you'll make the hardest decision of your life: bacon omelette, or belgian waffles?

There's also something involving a train, I guess.

In terms of birthdays this week, on Friday we have Andrea Jennifer Shubert's birthday. In case you don't know, she created online word game Acrophobia, and WWE trading card game WWF With Authority! We also have Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel's birthday on Sunday!

Are you excited for any games next week? Will you choose the waffle or the omelette? Tell us in the comments!
