Just 'Cause

Rico Rodriguez, fighting for a Just Cause, Just 'Cause. (I know I used that joke already!)

Anyone who's played Just Cause 2 has recently seen it revitalised with a free mod on Steam that adds multiplayer, and it looks like Avalanche have officially announced their revitalisation of the series, too! GameInformer have revealed their cover for their December issue, and have released a slew of information about the upcoming game, which will be released PS4, Xbox One and PC next year.

First of all, the elephant in the room: Just Cause 3 is NOT free to play. After a scare happened when some apparent screenshots of the game leaked, GameInformer announced in a second article that Just Cause 3 would in fact not be F2P, Avalanche told them. Phew.

Anyways, the details: hero Rico Rodriguez will return and, thankfully, so will his grappling hook, parachute and his plane-surfing skills. This time, he's got another toy: a wingsuit, used for controlled skydiving and general tomfoolery. The game is set in a fictional "Mediterranean archipelago" and by the looks of the above cover and this trailer,  it looks like slightly less developed Benidorm, with a bustling city and quaint villages separated by acres of plains. Maybe you'll attack the UKIP headquarters over there, considering how it's the most British place on the planet!

Zing!

Seriously, though, this new Just Cause looks like a lot of fun to play around in, and all we've had is some screenshots! If Just Cause 2 and it's multiplayer mod are anything to go by, this could be a crazy yet deep experience. I've enquired about an interview with Avalanche about JC3, and I await a reply!
