Revelation Revolution

Resident Evil Revelations 2: Now with 100% LESS Resident Evil 6!

Some great news regarding the next Resi game was announced in the latest GamesMaster magazine, Push-Start discovered. The first big piece of news regards the characters: pure heroine (See what I did there? I DID NOT STEAL THAT FROM LORDE!) Claire Redfield returns, and the daughter of Resi 1's hero Barry Burton, Moira Burton. While Redfield has been somewhat of a series stalwart, (She's been in pretty much every RE game since Resi 2) Moira was only ever mentioned in the first game, then forgotten about. Thankfully, Moira won't be a needy, annoying escort character a la Ashley Graham, instead being a supporting, helpful NPC, and GamesMaster has suggested that the campaign could be playable in co-op. Said campaign takes place between RE 5 and RE 6 (I'm trying my hardest to abbreviate dammit!), where Claire and Moira have been trapped inside an abandoned prison.

So THAT'S why she campaigns for human rights.

It'll also be a Resident Evil more akin to a survival horror game, rather than the last few action-focused numbers. There will be new enemies as well, with the Afflicted being the next main enemy. According to producer Michiteru Okabe, who spoke to GamesMaster, claimed that they "may look like zombies, but are in fact something quite different.".

Why do zombies always have to eat brains? Why can't the next mind-control disease make all the infected turn into Swansons? THEN they'd be the ultimate enemy, if the Swanson pyramid of Greatness is anything to go by.

What do you guys think? What should the next virus be? Tell us in the comments below!
